My Night Routine As A Mom/Entrepreneur (Summer Edition)

     Night Time Routine

As a mom and newly profound entrepreneur, it is very hard to find a balance especially when all the work I try to do is at home. Having discipline is key and it is also very hard to obtain(just being honest). I am still trying to figure out how to make this all work and I hope to help any moms out who may need answers too.

My night time routine consists of taking care of the kids first, home, and then my blog site. It is imperative that I have my home in order before I can sit down and focus on my work. (something about a clean house motivates me)

My kids don't have a bed time (summer) however, by 11pm they are in their rooms and this is when I start cleaning up. I like to start in the kitchen first. This is where I put our dinner away if we have leftovers for the next day. I also wash the dishes, wipe the counter tops, and sweep the floor. It can be a lot especially if I cooked a big meal, so I have my google home in the kitchen to watch a show to make the cleaning time less boring. ( I am currently watching the whole season of the RHOA) lol

I then proceed to the living room, bathrooms, and the bedrooms and just do a quick tidy up. My place is usually clean anyway; So I'm just basically putting things in their designated areas.

Now for the entrepreneur side of things

Having a blog is hard. Before I started blogging, I always thought it would be easy. All I'm doing is writing and posting. NOPE! It's more to it than that. After writing and posting, It's time to promote. This is even harder because you have to find your target audience(this will be on another blog) anyway, at this point, the place is pretty quiet. So I can begin to jot down my ideas for future blog posts and IG posts. I am still a novice on all of this... I just go by what works for me at the moment.

In the mornings, I create a to do list and at night is when I check them off if they were completed. Having a to do list makes me feel so accomplished especially when I complete all the tasks for that day.

I have a "catch all" journal in which I write down my ideas and days I want to post. I have learned that from quite a few bloggers that I follow. Creating a plan is very useful. It makes posting so much easier in my opinion. That is where discipline comes in.

Follow up on emails, comments, etc

I take about 30-45 minutes to reply to comments on social media and to find inspiration/motivation from other bloggers on that platform. Being a new blogger, I get majority of my ideas from other bloggers and some of them are very helpful when I ask questions as well. I also check my email list to see if I have any new subscribers and then I log on to my blogger site. I usually check to see if I have any comments under my posts and I just scroll throughout the page to make sure everything is in order. (I do this everyday).  I also save reels on instagram to recreate them for a future post and so far it has worked in my favor. I save so much time when I know exactly what I want to do.

I know everyone has their own version of what works for them. So far, this routine has worked wonders for me. Let me know what routines you have at night time.

Later Love Bugs,
