REFLECTION

We are 3 months into 2020 and I must say that this year has been crazy😱...This pandemic has affected everyone. Schools are shut down until April, people are not working or has had hours drastically reduced, stores are running low on essentials and the list goes on. What I don't understand is the "protocol" of staying safe and not catching the virus. Shouldn't people have been washing their hands and sanitizing them already? Shouldn't people have been staying distant in the first place? Shouldn't people stay home WITH pay if and when they are feeling sick? This world is so corrupted it's not even funny. I am kind of relieved that we are ordered to stay indoors because this is forcing us to slow down and really reflect on what is REALLY going on around us. This world is ALWAYS busy and on the move. The past couple of days has been GREAT for me. I get to spend time with my husband and daughters, I get to focus on my household chores (a mom's job IS NEVER done),  but the thing that I am MOST GRATEFUL for during this pandemic, is the fact that my family and I are healthy and I get to take this time off to reflect on my life. I have reevaluated my "friends, job, self, and life in general". I have been practicing self care by journaling and meditating every day. This truly has helped me with understanding myself better and appreciating the minor things we often take for granted. I encourage you guys to take this time to reflect and you will look at life so differently . I will leave some tips on how to set up a routine for self reflection and self care. This has helped me a whole lot.

MY ROUTINE
  • Wake up Early (Meditate, Journal, Drink Water, and Coffee or Tea)
  • Create a "To Do List" Check off as they are accomplished
  • Read a Book that motivates and stimulates your intellect (Recommend Atomic Habits by James Clear)
  • Take a walk or workout
  • Take a bubble bath and light some scented candles or wax melt
  • DRINK SOME WINE

Yes this pandemic has been a blessing and curse. I enjoy working every other week. I have been using this time to reflect, heal and enjoy my kids. Our routine is very similar :)
